A castle tent gives a child somewhere that is theirs. Ours is a hexagonal pink castle, 140cm across and 135cm high, with curtained doors and soft mesh windows. The six-sided shape is the point: it gives more standing room than a square tent of the same width.

It goes up in a few minutes with the poles, connectors and manual in the box, and it packs back into its carry bag when the room is needed for something else.

What we actually sell

Two tents. This page is about the castle; the smaller fairy tent, which comes with star lights included, is on the play tents page. We do not sell knight's fortresses, jungle hideouts, teepees or camping tents, and we would rather say so than list ranges we cannot ship you.

Where a castle tent works

Bedrooms and playrooms, where it becomes a reading corner as much as a toy. Backyards and gardens on a dry day, where the mesh panels keep the air moving. Playdates and sleepovers, because two or three children fit inside it at once. Birthday parties, where it does a job as a centrepiece as well as a place to play.

Setting it up

Take it out of the bag and check the parts against the manual. Push the poles into the connectors to build the frame. Slip the cover over the top and straighten it. Then add cushions, soft toys or a blanket, and it is done.

Choosing between the two

Buy on the space you have and the number of children who will use it. The castle is 140cm across and hexagonal, so it has the floor space. The fairy tent is 121cm wide, fits a bedroom corner more easily, and is the one with the fairy star lights in the box.

Delivery

Free across Australia on orders over $60, and both tents are over that. Express delivery is $22 if you want it sooner. Delivery takes 5 to 7 days after a 24 to 48 hour handling time. We deliver internationally as well, which takes 7 to 10 days.
