What comes in the box?
Tent, poles, connectors, fairy star lights, carry bag, instruction manual.
How long does it take to put up?
A few minutes. The poles push into the connectors and the cover goes over the frame, following the manual in the box. No tools are needed.
Can it be used outside?
Yes, indoors or outdoors. Bring it in if the weather turns, and let it dry before it goes back in its bag.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the fabric down. It is made to be cleaned that way rather than machine washed.
Does it fold away?
Yes. It comes apart and packs into the carry bag it arrives in.
How many children fit inside?
It is roomy enough for more than one child at a time.
What age is it for?
The listing suggests 3 years and up.
Are the poles sturdy?
The frame is made to hold the tent steady in normal play. It is a fabric play tent, not a climbing frame, so it is not built to be climbed on.
Does it have windows?
Yes, soft mesh panels that let air through and let you see in.
Can I put a light or cushions inside?
Yes. Cushions, soft toys and blankets are what most people add. The fairy star lights are already included.
Does it come with a floor mat?
No. The listing does not include a floor mat, so it sits on whatever surface you put it on.
What colour is it?
Pink, with the castle detailing shown in the photographs.
Is it in stock?
Yes. Both tents are held in stock and ship on the delivery times above.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free across Australia on orders over $60. Below that it is $22. Both tents are over $60, so a single tent ships free.
How long does delivery take?
5 to 7 days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time while the order is picked and packed.
Do you deliver outside Australia?
Yes. International orders are quoted at checkout and the store's own delivery page gives 7 to 10 days for other countries.
Is there an express option?
Yes. Express delivery is $22 and can be chosen in the cart even when standard delivery is already free.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You will get an email with a tracking number once the order ships. Items in one order may travel in separate packages.
What currency are prices in?
Australian dollars, and they include GST.
Which payment methods do you take?
Card payments through Stripe, and PayPal.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes. A confirmation email with your order details is sent as soon as the payment goes through.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. This is an online store with no physical shop, which is part of how the prices stay where they are.
How do I contact you?
Email theteam@princesstent.com.au. Most emails are answered within one business day.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled until they ship, and you need to tell us within 12 hours of paying. A 12.5% service and processing fee applies to a cancellation. Once packing has started the order cannot be cancelled.
What is your returns window?
15 days from the date of purchase, with the product unopened and in its original packaging. This is on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which nothing on this page takes away.
Who pays for the return postage?
The purchaser does, and the item goes back to the warehouse it was sent from. A $29 per order packing and handling amount is not refunded.
What if it arrives damaged?
Tell us straight away and we will sort it out. A damaged or faulty item is covered by the Australian Consumer Law regardless of the returns window.
How long does a refund take?
It is processed 24 to 48 hours after the returned item arrives, back to the card or PayPal account you paid with, or held as credit if you would rather.

Fairy play tents: what to look at before you buy
6 min readPrincess Tent Company
A magical hideaway that arrives with its own lights
Every child likes having somewhere that belongs to them. This fairy play tent is a pink fabric
castle with soft mesh windows and a set of fairy star lights in the box, so the space is lit the
moment it goes up. It is made for reading, playing, and pretending to be a fairy princess.
It works indoors and out. Put it in a bedroom corner, a playroom, or out on the grass on a dry day.
What you actually get
The tent is 121cm wide and 132cm high. It is made from polyester taffeta, solid fabric with soft
mesh panels, which is comfortable to sit against, hard-wearing, and easy to wipe clean.
Inside the package: the tent, sturdy poles, connectors, the fairy star lights, a carry bag and a
step-by-step instruction manual. Nothing else needs buying.
Putting it up
Lay the poles out, push them into the connectors, and slip the cover over the frame. The manual
walks through it. Most people have it standing in a few minutes, and it comes apart just as
quickly when the room is needed for something else.
Choosing between the two tents
This store sells two. The Fairy Play Tent is the smaller of them at 121cm wide, and it is the one
that includes the fairy lights. The Princess Castle Play House is 140cm across and hexagonal, which
gives more standing room inside, but it does not come with lights.
If the tent is going in a bedroom corner, the fairy tent usually fits better. If two or three
children will be in it at once, the castle is the roomier of the two.
Looking after it
Wipe the fabric rather than washing it. Let it dry fully before it goes back in the bag, and store
it somewhere dry. Treated that way the fabric holds its colour and the poles stay straight.
Tell us the space, the bed or the patio you are working with, and we will tell you what fits before you buy. Free delivery across Australia on orders over $60.
